Each Saturday, the Art Association of Oswego offers Art With Coffee, a drop-in art series featuring guest instructors and covering a wide array of creative techniques.

In October, the AAO will feature two classes on creative techniques in holiday-themed batik eggs. While traditional pysanka draw on a long history of traditional designs and colors, egg artists worldwide have used this technique of decorating eggs using wax and dye to creative beautiful and fun nontraditional designs.

On October 4th participants will create Jack-O'-Lantern eggs, and on October 11th participants will be able to create a variety of fall and winter-themed designs. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided by instructor Katie St. Laurent. The sessions will run from 10am-12pm, and the cost is $15. No registration is needed, this is first come, first served. Class size is limited so come on time.

The Art Association of Oswego is located at 30 Barbara Donahue Drive, right across the street from Fort Ontario. For more information about the AAO please visit their website oswegoarts.org
