Write a commentFour local veteran actors are preparing for the upcoming production, directed by Sherri Metz, “Who’s On First?” The play will be presented in the Frances Marion Brown Theater in the Arts Center at Fort Ontario Sept. 12, 13, 19-21.
Metz, who directed such recent hits as “Don’t Drink The Water” and “Caught In The Net,” selected Peter Mahan, Julia Preston-Fulton, Knathan MacKenzie-Roy and Tammy Lynn Wilkinson for the on-stage performance. Brian Pringle will also be heard as the voice of the magic lamp.
Peter Mahan has been working in community theater in the Central New York area in a variety of capacities since 2001, and made his acting debut for the Players in "I Remember Mama" in 2006. He has since appeared in seven shows with them including "Twelve Angry Men," "Mame," "Hound of the Baskervilles," and "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest." He recently appeared with his wife in “In Search of Eden” with the CNY Arts Center.
No stranger to the CNY Theater scene, Tammy Lynn Wilkinson most recently appeared in the Oswego Players’ production of “Gypsy.” Other productions have included "Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson" and "Hamlet" with the Red House Arts Center in Syracuse. When she's not on stage, Tammy is "Producer" for the Oswego Players, Inc!
Julia Preston-Fulton has been involved with the Oswego Players since she was a baby. Her mother frequently participated in plays and she grew up helping her mother memorize lines. She has appeared on stage in several productions including "Once Upon and Mattress," "Silent Night, Lonely Night" and "Witness for the Prosecution." She recently appeared in "Gypsy" after returning to the Players after spending a year teaching English in Japan. She was also seen in the CNY Arts Center production of "Romeo and Juliet."
Knathan MacKenzie-Roy has been busy performing in the area and just completed a run in the CNY Arts Center production of “Romeo and Juliet.” He was seen recently in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “The Diningroom” with the Oswego Players.
“Who’s On First” will be performed on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Sept. 21. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Oswego Players’ box office at 343-5138.
