Wood Carving Demonstration at the Art Association of Oswego March 14

There will be a free wood carving demonstration by John Pupparo at the Art Association of Oswego Saturday, March 14th from 10am to noon.

Drop in and see how a block of wood can be turned into a delightful figurine or a flat relief design. John has 15 years of wood carving experience and is still exploring various design challenges and skill improvements as well as discovering various wood types as carving mediums. He hopes that by demonstrating actual carving projects, that interest and appreciation of the carver’s skill will encourage people to want to learn how to carve.

A wood carving class will be taught by John at the AAO April 25th, 10-noon. There will be a small fee which will cover all materials and tools needed to start learning how to carve.

The Art Association is located at 30 Barbara Donahue Drive in Oswego, across from Fort Ontario. For more information please visit the AAO website at Oswegoarts.org
