Write a commentAs part of its second anniversary celebration, Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., in Oswego, is sponsoring a demonstration of wood turning on the lathe by member John Ruttan. The demonstration will take place in Lakeside Artisans' shop in Canal Commons from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, March 2.
Ruttan spent many years selling his woodturned bowls, vases, pens and other items at craft fairs in the CNY region before becoming a member of the artists' co-op, Lakeside Artisans.
He is also a member of CNY Woodturners and Saw Dust Woodchips, two regional groups of woodturner enthusiasts and has performed many demonstrations, including at the NYS Fair, with both groups.
