Zonta Club of Oswego Holds 60th Anniversary Celebration

The Oswego Chapter of Zonta International celebrated its 60th anniversary recently by honoring high school scholarship winners and ZONTA members with more than 20 years of service.

Special guests for the event were State Assemblyman William Barclay and Michelle Stepien, who represented State Senator Pattie Ritchie.

High school scholarship winners were Rebecca Murphy and Jenna Ballard, and the Young Woman in Public Affairs International Scholarship was awarded to Kelly Skinner.

Members honored for more than 20 years of service included: Barbara Bateman, Kristine Bushey, Gail Goebricher, Connie McKinstry, Mary Vanouse, and Marta Santiago who has 34 years of service.

Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Zonta Club of Oswego was founded on June 9, 1955 and supports scholarships, recognition, opportunities for local women and the Zonta International Foundation with local service projects and fundraising.
