There is still time to register for the three-session Oswego County 4-H African Safari program.

This program will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Fridays October 18th and 25th, and on Saturday November 2nd from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The two sessions in October will be held at the Believers Chapel North in Mexico, and the November session will be a field trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse.

Participants will learn through hands on activities about the many kinds of animals and the habitats they live in, on the African continent. Session topics will include Herbivores and Carnivores, and Habitats. The program ends with a field trip and tour around the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.

The Oswego 4-H African Safari program is open to youth ages 8-18 years old. The fee to participate in these three classes and enroll in Oswego County 4-H is only $15 per youth. Enrolled Oswego County 4-H members are free. However, everyone will have to pay $8 for the Rosamond Gifford Zoo Field Trip. Registration is required as space is limited.
