Congratulations, Oswego Tours!

Ten Years of Tours in Oswego

Oswego Tours is Open!

“We started with a Food & History Tour and over the years added a Haunted Tour and a Just the History Tour,” reminisces owner, Colette Astoria. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years!”

$20K hole-in-one contest part of the St. Luke charity golf tourney

One swing of the golf club is all it may take for a participant in St. Luke's Francis Boyce Memorial Charity Tournament to walk away $20,000 richer.

A $20K hole-in-one contest, sponsored by Fust Charles Chambers LLP, is part of the 16th edition of the charity event, which promises to be another fun-filled morning of golf and socializing.

The tournament "tees off" Saturday, Aug. 10, at Battle Island Golf Course with an 8 a.m. "shot gun" start. The four-person "Captain & Crew" tournament attracts both the serious and novice golf teams alike – as prizes are awarded in both categories. An optional "skins" game is also a part of the competition.

The tournament entry fee is $80 per person. The field is limited to the first 25 teams to register; only a few team openings remain. The entry fee includes greens fees, cart, and on-course games with lunch and awards immediately following at the Battle Island Club House Café.

The annual charity golf tournament benefits the St. Luke-Foster Burden Fund; providing financial resources in support of the St. Luke Family of Caring's "Don't Stop Wishing" program. This initiative adds to the quality of life enjoyed by residents and helps maintain connections with our community through activities and events.

Corporate sponsors of the 16th Annual Boyce Memorial Charity Golf Tournament includes Dermody, Burke & Brown CPAs LLC; Environmental Services Specialist Corp; Fulton Savings Bank; Harbor Pharmacy; The Hayner-Hoyt Corporation; IV4, Inc.; Menter, Rudin & Trivelpiece P.C.; Rehab Resources; Sodexo; and Usherwood Office Technologies.

In addition to the $20,000 Hole-In One Contest, a putting contest and a "Beat the Pro" contest, courtesy of Harbor Pharmacy help round out the on-course games taking place at the event.

The charity golf tournament honors the late Francis Boyce, the first administrator of St. Luke Health Services and past president of its board of directors. An avid golfer, Boyce helped shape the St. Luke organization during his 35-year tenure with the not-for-profit healthcare provider.

For more information about the event, to register to golf or for sponsorship opportunities, contact St. Luke Health Services at 342-3166, or visit the St. Luke-John Foster Burden Fund web page at www.stlukehs.com.
