Move Along Inc., will host its Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Saturday August 24th, 2019 at Battle Island State Park, Fulton, NY.
Proceeds from the event will benefit adaptive sports programming and education in schools throughout Central New York, and select locations in Northern and Southern Tiers of New York State.
The tournament will kick off Saturday August 24th at Battle Island State Park, with registration beginning at 12:00PM and a shotgun start at 1:00PM. A special guest, Chloe Joyce, who has fought and persevered through dozens of surgeries since her birth to enable her to continue to fulfill her dreams as a young woman, will get the golfers off onto the course with a presentation on the importance of adaptive athletics as a platform for personal reintegration after trauma! Following the tournament will be a dinner and awards ceremony.
“Move Along made an impact on me as a young child in a wheelchair trying to find my way with the great support of my family! I have become a strong advocate for others and believe in the abilities of Move Along and their staff to continue making a great impact on the lives of many through events and programming they establish and provide”! -Chloe Joyce
At Move Along it is pivotal for us as a 501C3 to raise funds independent of grants and programming! This funding allows us to apply for grants with percentage matching funds, as well as invest in costly equipment to facilitate our Adaptive Sports Education Program in Central New York Schools (we currently bring over 62K dollars of adaptive equipment to educate over 4,000 students annually) and support our sports programs throughout various communities!
