NAHL Johnstown Invite Oswego Stampede Forwards Up To Skate

NAHL Johnstown Invite Oswego Stampede Forwards Up To Skate

Stampede forwards Nick Snyder and Wade Moak were invited to attend this weeks practice sessions with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL.

Snyder and Moak both 2000 birth-year players have been solid players for the Stampede this season and are looking for the opportunity to move up to the tier 2 level next season.

The NAHL / NA3HL rolled out a program earlier this season “Practice and Play” in which players from the NA3HL would be given opportunities at the NAHL level for consideration of advancement as part of the progression within the NAHL family. “I had the opportunity to speak with Johnstown’s President Rick Bouchard this summer at the NA3HL competition and rules committee meeting in Dallas and he and the NAHL executive board were very supportive of the program.” States Stampede Head Coach Mike Beavis. Beavis went on to say, the Practice and play program is part of the ongoing structure that the NAHL, NA3HL and the NAPHL family is using to help develop talent for the future.

“We have been asked about a few of our guys over the past couple weeks to partake in the program and teams will be asking a couple other players to make a visit over the next few weeks for sure.” added Beavis. With the NAHL well under way in its recruitment for next season the teams are looking to get tenders signed as well as to set up their draft list for the upcoming season. The Stampede would like to thank Nick Perri and the Johnstown staff for giving our players the chance to experience the NAHL this week and look forward to working with the Tomahawks as well as the NAHL as our leagues relationships grow.

The Stampede staff feel that the opportunities given to their younger players is an important step for the NAHL ladder of development and part of the reason that the NA3HL is “A step above the rest”.
