With the generosity of AmeriCU members and a Miracle Match Donation from CO-OP Financial Services, the credit union donated a total of $12,000 to three local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – Mohawk Valley Health System of Utica, Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital of Syracuse, and Samaritan Medical Center of Watertown. In addition, teddy bears and coloring books were donated to their children’s wings as well as pediatric units of other area hospitals.
“We wanted to let these families know that we’re thinking about them during what could be a very difficult time in their life,” said Julie Tramacera-Miri, Community Relations Specialist for AmeriCU. “We’re grateful that we could not only provide the children with a little distraction, but also a sense of comfort and support during their stay.”
