Assistance Needed for Senior Donation Box

The Oswego County Office for the Aging has had numerous calls come in from seniors throughout the county needing food items, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.

These seniors are not able to get out into the community or if they are able to, they can’t find what they need.

The O.C .Office For The Aging now has a donation box and are asking for your donations. The donation box is located outside of our Office Entrance, by the O.C. Office For the Aging sign at 70 Bunner street (large grey chest, see photo above). The box is located right by the sidewalk and items are to be left in there to adhere to the 6’ social distancing.

We are in dire need for items such as:

  • Nonperishable food items (canned fruits, jelly, PB, soups, mac n cheese, cereal, etc.)
  • Paper Towels, tissues & toilet paper
  • Laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, etc.

"The seniors that are contacting us appreciate anything that we can get them." said Elizabeth Weimer, Care Giver Coordinator for Oswego County . "We are working the best we can to assist those seniors in need. They are a very vulnerable population right now and we need to come together for them, as a community."
