Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref—Pulaski) announced today that he will seek reelection in the fall. Barclay said he is privileged to serve the people here and he wishes to continue to be a voice for Upstate.

“I am honored to serve the 120th Assembly district and I feel there is much more to be done for the area, all the communities here and across the state. The people here deserve a strong voice in Albany and I would be honored to continue to be that voice.”

Barclay said if reelected he plans to continue sponsoring legislation and supporting measures that help local communities, reduce taxes, and protects our way of life in Upstate.

Barclay was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 2002. He was named Deputy Minority Leader in 2012, a leadership post he currently holds. He serves on the Rules, Ways and Means, Energy, Judiciary committees and is currently the ranking Republican member on the insurance committee.
