The Fulton Music Association’s (FMA) 24th Annual Celebration of Community Music will be presented at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at the G. Ray Bodley High School (GRB) Auditorium, it was announced by Steve Chirello, FMA president.

The 2025 FMA senior music award winners and the Mary A. and Ernest A. Hamer Music Award will also be announced at this event and each recipient will perform.

The Hamer award is in honor and memory of Mary and Ernest Hamer and their love and support of music in Fulton. Their family established this scholarship for a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in music.

Admission is free and the concert will feature the Fulton Community Band, under the direction of Luigi Giacomucci, who is also the G. Ray Bodley High School band director. The Hamer and FMA music award winners will also be performing.

Among the selections planned by the community band are Lexicon, Over the Rainbow, Funiculi Funicula, William Tell Overture, The Patriot, Emblem of Unity, and How to Train Your Dragon.

In addition, the FMA will have  members in the lobby before and during concert intermission with information on how to join FMA and support their efforts, Chirello said.

All concert participants are generously donating their time for FMA, Chirello said. “In addition to helping high school students receive FMA awards this spring, the FMA is presenting the TGIF Concert Series, sponsored by Oswego County Federal Credit Union, with support from Fulton Savings Bank and Brookfield Renewable U.S. All concerts are free on Friday nights at the S. First St. gazebo in downtown Fulton. FMA is also sponsoring Tunes In June, in cooperation with the Fulton City Parks and Recreation Department.  For more information, contact Chirello at 247-0742, or visit FMA on Facebook under “Fulton Music Association.”
