She was eighty-one. Born on February 8, 1944, in Warsaw, Poland to the late Halina (Pielaszewska) and Felix Zedler.
Christine’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy. After immigrating to the United States with her family, Christine found her calling in education. She dedicated decades of service to the Fulton City School District as an elementary school teacher. Christine’s classroom was a safe place of learning and growth, impacting generations of students with her guidance. Christine was the heart of every celebration. She was simply a magic maker behind every holiday and family gathering. Her creativity and love made lasting memories for her family always doing the most to make Christmas or birthday wish come true. Most important of all, the greatest joy of her life was being a grandmother. She adored spending time with her granddaughters whether baking, crafting, or attending their shows and events. Her pride in “the girls” was boundless, and her presence at their side was a constant source of love and encouragement.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years: James Brannan; their four children: JP Brannan, Michael Brannan, Susan Cole and Daniel Brannan; and their granddaughters: Halina and Harlow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her brother Steve Zedler. Christine’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched as a teacher, a mother, a grandmother and a friend.
Calling Hours were held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY. A Funeral Service was conducted 10 AM Saturday at CTGS/Our Lady of the Rosary, Hannibal, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Leo. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, NY.
