The Oswego State men's track and field team placed 10th out of 17 teams at the Golden Eagle Run hosted by Brockport on Saturday.
Oswego's top performance came in the field as Adam Crumb took second place in the long jump. The junior hopped 6.79 meters to not only nab the second spot but also set a new Oswego State record. FreshmanJustin Willson finished just out of points as he took ninth with a top jump of 6.14 meters.
On the track, Oswego was led by Dylan McCarthy who took third place in the one mile race. The freshman recorded a time of 4:24.56, just .28 seconds behind the second-place finisher. Also performing well in the distance events was Justin Sommer, who earned Oswego five points in the 3K. Sommer placed fourth 9:09.12. Continuing with the distance theme was Colin Greenseich who earned two points placing seventh out of 24 runners in the 5K.
In the day's last race the 4x400 team of Bret Weiss, Nicholas Leclair, Aitor Celaya and Dillon Nimako took home two points with a sixth place finish.
Men's track and field will hit the track again at 10 a.m. on Saturday as the team travels to Ithaca for the Bomber Invite.
