Write a commentKeeping with the spirit of the holiday season, Compass Federal Credit Union recently donated more than $10,000 to area school districts for winter clothing needs.
These annual donations by Compass help to pay for hats, mittens, snow pants, shoes and other student clothing needs that become especially important during the winter months.
“We look forward each year to doing what we can to help those in need within Oswego County,” said Compass FCU CEO, Jennifer Rupert. “This program has become a special one for us at Compass, as we expand our ability to help our students stay as warm and as safe as possible this winter season.”
Each school in the Oswego City and Fulton City School Districts received a check donation for the cause, along with Oswego’s Trinity Catholic School.
New in 2020, all schools within the Mexico Academy & Central School District and the Hannibal Central School District also received check donations, increasing this year’s overall distribution by $2,000.
In total, Compass made donations to 22 schools within Oswego County.
With temporary lobby closures currently in effect as a result of COVID-19, Compass reminds members that online and mobile banking services allow you access to your accounts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from any computer or smartphone with an internet connection. This online application is FREE for members and can be downloaded via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Included in the online banking portal is Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), which allows you to deposit checks from your mobile device.
Drive-thru service is available, following normal business hours, at the Compass main office located at 131 George St. in Oswego as well as at the new Compass location in Fulton, at 208 N. 2nd St.
