Nominations for the Compass Federal Credit Union Board of Directors can now be made by petition.

Nominations remain open through Thursday, March 21 for three vacancies on the Board.

The petition is now available for download at www.compassfcu.com via the Board of Directors Info link under the Services tab, or at any branch.

There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting, which is set to be held inside Compass Federal Credit Union’s Fulton branch at 208 North Second St. on Thursday, May 2 at 6 p.m.

In order to be placed on the ballot, the petition must be signed by 80 fellow Compass members.  Interested nominees must also provide a Qualifications/Bio form, which is also available for download via the Board of Directors page.  All paperwork, including the petition, is to be emailed to the Nominations Committee at nominations@compassfcu.com by March 21.

Current nominees for the Board include incumbents Darcy Antonucci and Joanne Gardner, as well as first time candidates Sandra Barbaro and Kelly Roe.

Antonucci currently sits as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Compass and has been on the Board since 2017.  Currently employed as the Comptroller for the Broadwell Hospitality Group, Antonucci works as the primary oversight of both the financial and human resources departments.

Gardner has served on the Compass Board of Directors since 2010, shortly after the Oswego Hospital Credit Union merged with Compass.  Joanne previously served as the President of the Oswego Hospital Credit Union for 20 years and was instrumental in the merger.  Retired from Oswego Health after 38 years of service, Gardner remains active on many of the same committees she was part of during her long tenure with Oswego Health.

A former elementary school principal within the Mahopac Central School District, Barbaro is now retired and hopes to be a contributing member of the Compass Board, focusing on a commitment to quality community service.  Since retirement, Barbaro has become a member of Fulton’s Church of the Holy Trinity Parish Council, as well as a volunteer tutor for Literacy Volunteers of Oswego.

Roe is the acting Associate Dean for the School of Communication, Media and the Arts at SUNY Oswego.  A volunteer for the College Book Arts Association as part of the membership committee, Roe is also on the Advisor Board for Digital Media with Citi BOCES of Oswego County.

More details on the current nominees will be found online through the Board of Directors Info page at www.compassfcu.com
