Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Cancer Services Program hold its annual Human Pink Ribbon Ceremony October 28, at Bullhead Point in Fulton from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the event will host a number of vendors as well as a variety of health related information.
Staff from the Oswego County Health Department will be on hand to administer flu shots. The influenza vaccinations will be available for adults and children for $41 and $66 for those over 65 years of age requesting the High Dose Flu Vaccine. Parents will need to bring shot records for children. The health department accepts cash or checks for payment. For information on accepted insurance coverage and options for those that are uninsured contact the Oswego County Health Department at 315-349-3547. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
“We’re pleased that the health department will be a part of this event,” said Cancer Services Coordinator Carolyn Handville. “Our Human Pink Ribbon ceremony is the culmination of our month long drive to raise awareness of Breast Cancer in Oswego County. I want to create our largest Human Pink Ribbon ever, so get your pink on and join us at Bullhead Point in Fulton as we form our Human Pink Ribbon at 11:40 a.m.”
