Fulton Mayor Jim Rice visited the Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club recently to update members on the large number of ongoing improvement projects in the city.
He noted that Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects at CNY Arts and Huhtamaki, stalled for several years until the city completed a rezoning project, are now complete and many other projects are underway. He said a housing project at 7th and Fay streets should break ground early next year and that a developer is hoping to build a major chain hotel and retail shops on the former Nestle factory property, pending the outcome of the second phase of an environmental review of the site. Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi's Drive-In and can be followed at https://www.facebook.com/fultonsunriserotaryclub/.
