The Garrett Dunsmoor Memorial Foundation is now accepting its fourth round of grant applications from the greater Oswego community.

Organizations must submit an online grant application by September 30, to be considered in this funding period; applications received after this date will automatically be rolled into the next funding period.

All proposals must further the foundation’s mission to enrich the lives and invest in the futures of youth in and around Oswego, NY. Focus areas of this mission include the Arts, Sciences, Sports, Advocacy and/or Community Improvement. Grants typically range from $500 - $2,000. In some cases, we may approve larger grants and approval amounts may vary based on how many applications are received.

To submit your applications, please view the online form at www.garrettdunsmoormemorialfoundation.com/grants, or email us for a PDF application at gdmemorialfoundation@gmail.com. Please allow up to 30 days to be notified if your grant has been approved.

In the past the Garrett Dunsmoor Memorial Foundation has funded: ARISE Child & Family Services, Blessings in a Backpack Fulton Chapter, Blessings in a Backpack Oswego Chapter, Camp Foundations, Child Advocacy Center Oswego County, Children’s Museum of Oswego, Erin's Angels of CNY, Inc., Friends of Camp Hollis, Fulton Family Y.M.C.A, Fulton Girls Lacrosse, Fulton Public Library, Fulton Youth Basketball, Fulton Youth Boys Lacrosse, Hannibal Backpack Ministry, Leighton Elementary Third Graders, Literacy Coalition of Oswego County, Minetto HSA Playground Committee, Oswego Bookmobile, Oswego Buccaneer Boosters, Oswego County Quarter Midgets Club, Oswego Family Y.M.C.A., Oswego Lacrosse Club, Oswego Little League, Oswego Players, Inc., Oswego Pop Warner, Oswego Rotary Club, Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department, VOW Foundation.

Garrett was an incredible young man whose positive attitude, sense of humor, and compassion for others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. While Garrett is not here to fulfill his destiny, we continue his legacy of love by giving youth in and around Oswego the opportunities he had earned.
