The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will be presenting a public program, Frolicking with Frogs on Wednesday, July 11th, at 10:00 a.m.

Kids of all ages are invited to get their feet wet, wander in the water and woods, and clack, trill, twang, and grunt with the frog people. Following a short indoor program, participants will stroll through the woods to the beaver pond with naturalist Pat Carney, explore the different frog residents of the Center, and where and how they live. Old clothes and shoes that can get wet & muddy are recommended; no flip-flops please. Attendees should be prepared to get wet and have fun with the frogs!

On Saturday, July 14th, at 10:00 a.m. the Center will present the program Bird Days of Summer. Although birds have a summer home, they do not take summer vacations. Following the spring season, many birds renest. Others tend to the continuous demands of fledglings with their noisy and engaging behaviors. Program attendees will enjoy a morning walk along the Center’s trails and pond, with naturalist Pat Carney and Faith Baker of the Onondaga Audubon Society, to observe and listen to the birds and their families. Binoculars are recommended; some will be available for use for the duration of the program.

Both of these programs are designed for people of all ages. Each program is just $4.00 per person or $12.00 per family, paid on the day of the program, and children under 3 are free. The Amboy 4-H Environmental Educational Center is located at 748 Route 183, between Routes 13 and 69 near Williamstown.
