Write a commentCommunity members recently donated over 240 bicycle helmets and money for additional helmet purchases in lieu of flowers to honor the late Billie Crandall Brady.
Mrs. Brady served as Program Coordinator of Integrated Community Planning’s (ICP) Traffic Safety Board for over 13 years. The brainchild of Theresa A. Sugar Scanlon (Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home), the helmets will be distributed to Oswego County children through traffic safety outreach and events in the coming months.
Accepting the helmets are Diane Oldenburg, Traffic Safety Board Executive Secretary; Eric Bresee, ICP Board Treasurer, and Christina Wilson, ICP Executive Director.
Donations to “Helmets from Heaven” will continue to be accepted at the ICP offices located at 317 West 1st Street, Suite 111, Oswego, NY.
