Write a commentA local group of Oswego families have joined together to form a team that participates in the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes. All day Monday, Sept. 23, if you bring in the posted flyer to Cam's NY Pizzeria, in Oswego, up to 20 percent of your bill will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
"We are trying to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), which uses these funds for scientific research to better treat, prevent and ultimately cure type-1 diabetes," team member Doug Hauser said. "It's that easy – great food for a great cause."
Cam's Pizzeria and the Oswego JDRF team invite the community to calzones, pizza, pasta, salads, subs, wings and more.
"And don't forget dessert," Hauser said. "Enjoy it all – lunch, dinner and don't forget Monday night football! Make sure you give a flyer to all your friends and family."
