Write a commentJoseph B. Boni, 91, of Oswego, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2017.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Gentile) Boni.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force Sergeant having served during World War II.
Joe worked for Cyclotherm for 38 years and later worked in Electrical for the Oswego Hospital for 13 years retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Charles Crisafulli Post 15 for 68 years, American Legion Post 268, Golden Ages and a member of St. Joseph’s Church.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Catherine (Salvador) Boni; a daughter Carol (Donald) Wisniewski, of Marcy, NY; a sister, Rosalie Bauer; two grandchildren, Christina (Michael) Pettinelli; Donald III (Brittany) Boni; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew and Dominic Pettinelli; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Theodore Boni, Mary Vona, George Boni and an infant brother Bartholomew.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
