Joyce Lorraine Gianetto, age 85 of Oswego Town, died peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 15, 1933, to the late George and Marion (Peck) Knight.

Joyce married the love of her life, Joseph F. Gianetto, on April 19, 1952. She loved being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and once the owner of a baking business. Joyce also joined her husband in the management of their family farm.

She loved traveling with Joe. But what was most important to Joyce was spending time with her family. She enjoyed each and every one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She did everything with love, made her house a home with an open door and welcomed everyone who walked through it.

The memories she made with her husband, children and grandchildren are precious, and she will live forever in their hearts.

Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years and her brother Rev. G. Edward Knight. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons, Betty-Jo (Kent) Woodward of Oswego. Ann Marie (Rev. William) King of Oswego; Marian (Jeff) Wallace of Oswego, SMSgt. USAF/Retired Joseph F. (Dale) Gianetto II of Oswego and Dominick “Nick” (Diana) Gianetto of Oswego; grandchildren, Angela D. Cross, Jodi R. Konys, Dawn Wardard, Amy Cook, Eric M. King, Alissa J. Evans, Janelle M. King, Sher Sharki, Harka Gurung, Ashok Lamchhane, Brandon J. Gianetto, Matthew J. Gianetto, Kellye M. Buckalew, Jeff R. Wallace II, Lauren E. Wallace, Joseph W. Wallace, Christina M. Barker, Jennifer L. Rowan, Ryan Shattuck, Kegan Shattuck and Brynn Leigh Shamp; twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Friday, October 26th at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
