Laura Hall Bivens, 97, a former resident of Birch Lane in Scriba NY, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 in Oswego.
The last from the original Hall Road family, Laura leaves her family with generations of love, memories and holiday feasts.
Laura was predeceased by her husband, Floyd, her parents, William and Marion (Bartlett) Hall, daughter Jeannie Carrigan, numerous cousins, and friend Bud Whitney.
Laura was the best pancake maker Southwest Oswego ever saw and was always willing to help any of her family however she could. As a member of the Fresh Air Program for many years, her home became a place of summer fun for underprivileged youth sharing fun experiences along with her grandchildren.
Laura is survived by her children, Larue Hartranft, Barry (Therese) Bivens, and Tammy (Tim) Anderson; her grandchildren, Margie, Becky, Kimberly, Nathan, Gair, Shawna, Devin, Jacob, Emilee, and Dennis; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend and canine companion, Duke.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Thursday, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
