Yesterday, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) and his colleagues in the Assembly Minority Conference welcomed law enforcement officers on the Assembly floor.

From left to right, Assemblyman Matt Simpson (R,C,I-Horicon), Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R,C,I-Medford), Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton, Leader Barclay, Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I,C-New Hartford), Assemblyman Angelo Morinello (R,C,I-Niagara Falls), Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I-Schoharie) and Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood.

The sheriffs and a number of law enforcement professionals were invited to Albany to attend a press conference in which Barclay and his colleagues called on Gov. Kathy Hochul and legislators to “Finally Fix Bail Reform” and walk back failed criminal justice policies in the 2022-23 State Budget. Barclay and the Conference will continue to stand with law enforcement and push for common-sense policies that put the safety of law-abiding New Yorkers before criminals.
