The Friends of the Oswego Library is hosting an evening with local author and writing instructor, Jim Farfaglia, who will be sharing excerpts from his second book of poems, "People, Places & Things: The Powerful Nouns of My Life." The event will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Community Room at the Oswego Public Library,120 E. Second St.
During the program, Farfaglia will talk about his process of writing the poems, which were written to acknowledge and give thanks for the various people, places and things that have influenced his life.
"It was really a great experience," Farfaglia remarked about creating the book. "It gave me a chance to look back and reflect on how those I've met have led me to where I am today."
A book signing will follow and light refreshments will be available. The program is free and open to the public.
