Write a commentNancy L Ferris, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 21, 2019 with family at her side at the home of her son in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Nancy was born in Baldwinsville to Earl and Agnes (Mowins) Gaylord. She was the widow of the late Kenneth “Keith” Ferris who died in 1986. They met while roller skating and shared their love of skating with their children. Nancy was employed at Argersinger’s, Tops, The Oswego Hospital and most recently, was a personal home health aide.
Nancy enjoyed playing many sports with her children including, softball, volleyball, bowling and golf. Her passion for sports led to her induction into the Oswego Women’s Softball Hall of Fame. If Nancy wasn't on the field playing, you could find her in the stands cheering for her children and grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the NY Mets and went to games with her family every season.
Nancy is survived by her children: Kurt Ferris, Kecia (Christopher) Maas, Kaycee Ferris of Oswego, NY and Kraig (Betty-Jean Park) Ferris of Fort Myers, Fla: her twin sister Faith Gaylord of Liverpool, NY; her grandchildren Rene (Debbie) Ferris of Mexico, NY, Cali, Taylor and Magie Maas and Zoe Ferris of Oswego, NY. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Gaylord and a grandson Cobi Ferris.
Calling hours will at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home on Thursday March 28 from 3-7PM. Graveside committal service at Pines Plains Cemetery in Clay NY on Friday March 29. In lieu of flowers contributions in Nancy's memory to Breast Cancer research.
