OHS Art Students Earn Top Awards at 20th Annual Competition

Oswego High School artists captured three of the top four prizes recently at the 20th Annual Oswego County Student Art Competition at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center in Pulaski.

Reilly Patrick, "Best in Show" for her self-portrait "Adagio".
Meghan Anderson, "First Place Overall" for her colored pencil drawing entitled "Blue".
Brenna Riley, "Second Place Overall" for her drawing of her cat Oliver, entitled "Snaggletooth".

According to Oswego High School Art Teacher Melissa Martin, this may have been the best showing the school's artists have ever had in the history of the competition.

Additional Honorable Mention Ribbons were awarded to:

- Mike Cali for "Spider and Insect Autons" Sculpture
- Matt Olszewski for "Horse Hair set" Sculpture
- Maddy Rahn for "Metal Teapot" Sculpture
- Cassidy Quonce for "Bottom of the Ocean" Painting
- Alex Bush for "Japanese Teapot" Sculpture
- Brenna Riley for "Gypsy" Drawing
- Meghan Anderson for "It Could Be Your Prince" Drawing

All of the artwork will be on display at the Oswego High School at the annual Art & Music Festival on Saturday April 25th, from 12pm to 4 pm.
