Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) is hosting a “Discover Your Credit Union Day, “October 6, exclusively at the Fulton office, 707 S. Fourth St., said Bill Carhart, CEO.
The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, and water. Refreshments will be available from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In addition, the branch will be offering anyone who visits a chance to win one of five $25 VISA gift cards or an iPad. Any current member who adds another product to their account, will get an extra chance on the prizes. For every new account OCFCU will deposit the initial $5.00 into your account. Bring a friend and OCFCU will deposit $5.00 into their new account and also the current members account. This is open to the public and no purchase is required, Carhart said. ”It’s part of our outreach initiative to better inform our community about what we can offer them.”
“We currently serve the financial needs of members from throughout Oswego County,” said Mary Greeney, OCFCU vice president, member services. “Unlike other financial institutions, which need to generate profits in order to satisfy stockholders, we return excess earnings to our members as competitive interest rates on loans, savings and investment accounts, as well as cutting-edge new products and services. If you live, work, worship or attend school in Oswego County, you are eligible to join our family.”
OCFCU was chartered in 1975 and serves residents and business owners of Oswego County. OCFCU serves over 12,000 members throughout the county. For further information visit www.oswegofcu.org.
