Oswego Players Holiday Production to be Directed by Norman Berlin III

The Oswego Players have announced that their latest production, Jean Shepard's “ A Christmas Story” will directed by Norman Berlin III. Berlin assumed the leadership role after the original production director, Bobby Fontana, had to drop out for personal reasons.

Though this will be Norman's first feature length directoral assignment he has been involved with theater for most of his life having appeared in an Oswego Children's Theater production “The Wizard of Oz”at a tender age.

Since then he has been seen in inumerable productions and earned a master degree in Library science.

“A Christmas Story” Tells familiar tale of Ralphie and his family's yuletide adventures, growing up in 1940 Gary Indiana.

The player's version of the show features a large cast of area children and adults including Eli Belawski as Ralphie along with Tammy Wilkinson and Micheal Bolio, as Mother and the Old Man. Other cast members include Josh Delorenzo, as older Ralph Apollo Avery, as Randy, Stephanie Johnson, Miss Shields, Jesse Pauldine, as Flick, August Mcdonald, as Schwartz, Leah Norton, as Ester Jane, - Ella Culligan, as Helen Weathers, Noah Pauldine, as Scut Farkas, Isaac Kearns, as Toadie, Matthew Belawski, as a Townsperson, and Alyssa Clavelli also as a townsperson.

"A Christmas Story" was adapted for the stage by Jean Shepard Leigh Brown and Bob Clark. The show will be directed by Bobby Fontana, assisted by Norman Berlin III as Stage Manager. The show is presented by specail arrangement with Dramatic Publishing.

"A Christmas Story" will be presented on December 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th at 8 p.m.and December 9th. at 2 p.m. at the Frances Marion Brown Theater at Fort Ontario Park in Oswego.
