Oswego Prepares for First FallOween

Local Oswego businesses weaved together the first FallOween event in Oswego, where all citizens compete against one another in the form of decorating their homes in spooky Halloween or fall themes.

The rules are simple: decorate the front of the home or front porch with Halloween or fall decorations, whether it’s with creepy crawlers, pumpkins, witches or discolored leaves.

This city-wide event is open to all Oswego residents who dare to spice their homes up with skeletons, colorful reefs or even spooky sounds.

The panel of judges consists of four mystery FallOween Witches who will ride their brooms to all participating homes and point their noses to the winning home.

The first place winner will receive a grand prize worth $250. The second place runner-up will receive a prize worth $100 and third place will receive a prize worth $75.

Registration forms are available upon request at the iHeart Corp. office, 29 W. Seneca St., at 315-402-6623.

Registration ends Oct. 15 and homes will be judged on Oct. 28 and 29. There is no registration fee.

Get ready to spook your neighbors or celebrate the season of apple cider and sweaters in preparation for FallOween.
