In preparation for Opening Week at Oswego Speedway coming May 4-May 11, "The Steel Palace" is opening its gates from 5-10 p.m., Saturday, April 27, for an open test session.
The test sessions, which are open to any racing division on the 2013 Oswego schedule, will admit race fans for free into the grandstand.
Race fans are encouraged to take this first opportunity to come to the Speedway and get a glimpse of the racing action coming in 2013.
A healthy field of Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS Series machines are expected to be on hand. In recent seasons, the Speedway test sessions have also been known to draw a number of Race of Champions (ROC) Modifieds and International Supermodified Association (ISMA) Supermodifieds.
Currently, there are 40 Novelis Supermodifieds and 41 Pathfinder Bank SBS Series machines registered for the 2013 racing season.
A second open practice session will also be held Friday, May 3, on the eve of Gater Racing News/North Country Home Builders opening night at the Speedway on May 4. The May 3 practice will be open only to wing and non-wing Supermodifieds as well as Small Block Supers. The test will run from 1-9pm.
Pit passes for each session will be set at $25.
The Oswego Speedway Tiki Bar will be open for all practice sessions held in 2013.
