Anne Backer, owner of "Taste the World – Specialty Foods and Coffee" located inside the Canal Commons in downtown Oswego is pleased to announce some changes and additions to her "Mugs and Motors" Antique, Vintage, Classic and Muscle Car , Truck and Motorcycle Rally held on Sunday afternoons on W. 1st and W. Bridge Sts going south this late Spring and early summer.
Backer went on to say; "Building on last year's success we are pleased to announce that one of our other downtown businesses; Port City Co-Op / Antiques – Art – CraftWork will be presenting an open air flea market in the parking lot of Pathfinder Bank located on w. 2nd St and adjacent to the Port City Co-Op Store during the same time we present "Mugs and Motors".
Linda DeMassi, Coordinator for the Port City Co-Op explained; "We are thrilled to partner with Taste the World – Specialty Foods and Coffee and Pathfinder Bank in order to present this outdoor market which will host approximately 40 vendor spaces. Vendors can pay as little as $10 per space which will help cover the costs of the event including insurance, promotion and entertainment. All types of vendors are welcome. We already have people signed up who will be selling; antiques, vintage items, repurposed items, jewelry, crafts, and fresh produce."
Backer explained; "We are calling these 2 events "OsweGo Sundays" and provide some place to GO and some things to do on Sundays in Oswego.
This year's "OsweGO Sundays" Car, Truck and Motorcycle Rally and Outdoor Market will take place the 1st and 3rd Sundays of May, June and July (Car Rally; 1-4PM and the Market 1-5PM) rain or shine. As with last year there will be live entertainment available each Sunday. The events are free to the public. The fun begins May 3, 2015 from 1-5PM.
