On April 26, 2014, MOTHER EARTH BABY will be host to the Second Annual HEALTHY BABY EXPO and the OSWEGO, NY site of the Fourth Annual Guinness World-Record Setting `Great Cloth Diaper Change` International Event.
This year's Healthy Baby Expo will take place at the Lake Ontario Conference Center at 26 East 1st Street, Oswego NY from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This fun family event is ideal for new and expecting moms and for children of all ages with a focus on health and wellness for young children and their families. This is a FREE event and the first 100 registered to participate in the GCDC will receive a swag bag full of goodies. Additionally, the event will feature fun family and child activities, raffles and door prizes from over 50 participating sponsors, free samples, product demonstrations, and more!
The 2013 Event drew an estimated 500 participants and featured over 30 vendors, exhibitors and presenters. Mother Earth Baby has been host to this Guinness World Record Setting event since its inception in 2011. Each year the event has doubled in particpation. In 2013, Oswego, NY recorded the largest Guinness World Record numbers of the three other host sites in Central New York with 50 mom and baby pairs participating in the Great Cloth Diaper Change. Way to go Oswego! The purpose of the GCDC is to raise awareness of the benefits of using cloth diapers. ***It is not necessary to currently be using cloth in order to participate in the event. Diapers will be available if you wish to participate but do not own a cloth diaper.
Some of the great benefits of using cloth diapers include:
* Affordability – Using cloth may save up to $2500
* Environmentally – Disposable diapers take over 500 years to decompose
* Health – Less diaper rash and allergic reactions
* Fashionable – With many colors and prints to choose from...how can you resist?
Our current sponsors of the Healthy Baby Expo include: Mother Earth Baby, Cre8 Solutions, Zink Shirts, Keech Photography, Oswego Printing Company, and the Lake Ontario Conference Center.
We still have sponsorship and vendor opportunities for this year's event.
