Blessings in a Backpack will hold its second annual Trivia Night on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Oswego Elks Lodge to benefit both the Oswego and Fulton Blessings in a Backpack programs.

Matthew Reitz of The Palladium-Times/Valley News will ask the trivia questions as eight-member teams compete. Mary Beth Hill and Crystal Flack of Blessings in a Backpack will emcee the evening, which will also include a silent auction and raffle. Last year 150 people participated.

Tickets are available at the West First Street branch of Pathfinder Bank in Oswego or by calling 315-297-7802. Cost is $30 for players or $15 to attend. Light snacks are included, and a cash bar will be available.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the competition will begin at 7 p.m. The Elks Lodge is at 132 W. Fifth St. in Oswego.

Blessings in a Backpack provides weekend food to hundreds of needy elementary schoolchildren in Oswego and Fulton. The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on West First Street sponsors the Oswego program, with assistance from many other organizations, including Grace Lutheran Church.
