Sheriff schedules public auction

    Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. Todd has announced that a public auction of found, abandoned and surplus property will be held Thursday, Nov. 14.

     Slated for sale at the auction are approximately 35 bicycles along with assorted other items including mailboxes, ATV tires, tools, chain saws, outdoor equipment (snow blower, trimmers, etc.) and more.

     Also offered for sale will be surplus department property. There will be two boats – a 1989 Steiger Craft 23' Chesapeake with inboard motor and 1987 Sea Bird trailer, and a 14' Aluminum Skiff boat with 10 HP outboard motor and homemade trailer up for bid.

     The auction, which will be held at the Sheriff's maintenance garage, 39 Churchill Road, Oswego, will begin promptly at 9 a.m. Prospective bidders may inspect the items for sale beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the sale.

     Successful bidders will be expected to pay for their purchases at the time of sale. Acceptable forms of payment will be cash or checks with proper i  identification. All items purchases must be removed the day of the sale.
