The shops at Canal Commons are planning a “Taste the Commons” event for Warm Up Oswego on Feb. 7. Tastings tickets will be available at the commons doors for $1 each.

Some tastings may require more than one ticket. Tastings will take place from 2 p.m. to 5p.m.

The Bistro 197, Man in the Moon Candies and Taste the World are including their wine, chocolate and cheese selections in combinations designed to please even the most discerning palate.

More tastings will be found in the other shops in the commons: brownies infused with essential oils at Sensibility Outfitters; a variety of cookies at the Bakery; cheeses and coffees at Taste the World; wine and beer at Bistro 197; Wind and Willow dips at Maida’s Flower Shop and a selection of sweets at Man in the Moon Candies.

In addition to the tastings, various arts are being demonstrated. Maida’s Flower Shop is featuring a floral arrangement demo. Sensibility Outfitters will demonstrate essential oils. Lakeside Artisans will be holding a series of overlapping demos from noon to 5p.m. where Michele Southgate will be showing pan pastels, Cathy Pence will be showing how to make lamp work glass beads, Kathy Fenlon will demonstrate how to make a quilted square table topper and Diane Chepko-Sade will show how she creates her fused glass Valentine ornaments. All demonstrations are free to festival visitors.

Indoor family fun is guaranteed at the 9-hole miniature golf putting range at the commons. It will be available from noon to 5 p.m.
