United Way of Greater Oswego County Campaign Assistant Kay Duguay (r) poses with some of the volunteers that helped make the United Way’s Chicken BBQ / Chili Cook-Off fundraiser a success.

Hosted by Woodchuck Saloon in Oswego, the event raised more than $1,170 in support of United Way’s Annual Campaign.

“We are grateful to Becky Walpole of Woodchuck Saloon for hosting the event, cooking the chickens and preparing the dinners, and our board members that brought their homemade chili for the cook-off,” said Duguay. “We served 200 chicken dinners and it would not have been possible without the tremendous support we received from our valued volunteers and the many community members that graciously chose to support this event. Thank you to everyone involved!”
