The 3rd Annual Community Baby Shower will take place on May 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Elim Grace Church in Oswego.
The event is free and open to new and expecting parents throughout Oswego County.
Organized through a collaborative effort between Integrated Community Planning of Oswego County (ICPOC), the Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance, REACH CNY, and numerous community partners, the event is designed to connect families with local resources and support.
The Community Baby Shower will feature more than 20 organizations offering education, services, and free items for parents and caregivers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about available resources, ask questions, and build relationships with providers dedicated to supporting healthy pregnancies, safe infant care, and strong family foundations.
“The Community Baby Shower is a reflection of what’s possible when organizations come together with a shared goal,” said Sidney Carter, Coordinator of the Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance. “Each year, the event continues to grow because of the commitment and collaboration of partners working to support women, infants, and families across Oswego County.”
“The Community Baby Shower wouldn’t be possible without the strength of our partnerships,” said Amanda Barbera, Perinatal & Infant Community Health Collaborative Coordinator for REACH CNY. “REACH CNY is incredibly grateful for collaborators whose shared dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of women, infants, and new families drives this work forward. What makes it truly special is that each year, the event continues to grow and evolve because everyone leans in, sharing time, resources, and passion to uplift families across our community.”
Collaboration remains central to the event’s continued success and impact, with participating organizations contributing time, resources, and expertise to ensure families have access to meaningful support.
The Community Baby Shower is part of a broader, ongoing effort to ensure families in Oswego County have access to the information and services they need from pregnancy through early childhood.
