SUNY Oswego will feature the illustrations of alumnus and faculty member Aaron Z. Lee and his friends in an exhibition to open Saturday, Sept. 21, at Oswego State Downtown.

A free public reception for the artists will open "What Have We Done? Illustrations by Aaron Z. Lee + Friends" from 2-4 p.m., Sept. 21, at the gallery, a branch of the College Store at West First and Bridge streets in Oswego. The exhibition will run through Oct. 19.

Lee, an Oswego County native, received his bachelor of fine arts and master of arts teaching degrees at SUNY Oswego. Now an adjunct instructor of art at the college, he teaches digital and traditional illustration. Lee formerly worked as a graphic artist at the campus Lifestyles Center.

The exhibition, curated by Lee, will include illustrational work he gathered from friends. Among those invited to participate are Miles George, Erik Miller, Cayetano Valenzuela, Isaac Bidwell and Ben Petrie.

Oswego State Downtown is open noon to 5 p.m., Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays (until 5 after the Farmers Market ends for the season); 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays.

For more information about this exhibition or those at Tyler Art Gallery on campus, contact the SUNY Oswego art department, 315-312-2112.
