Camp Hollis accepting summer camp applications

Write a comment

Camp Hollis is still accepting summer camp applications and has some spots available for a number of weeks in July and August.

Open to youth ages 8 through 14, Camp Hollis offers a week-long summer residential camp experience complete with swimming, nature hikes, games, campfires, arts and crafts, and many more activities. Camp Hollis is owned and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
"Applications should be submitted as soon as possible to obtain your choice of dates, as weeks are filling up fast," said Brandon Morey, coordinator of youth development and recreation for the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
Youth may register for week-long sessions scheduled for June 30 through Aug. 16. There will be a mini-camp June 27 and June 28 to introduce 8-year-olds to an overnight summer camp experience.
For more information or an application, call the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau at 315-349-3451. Applications are also available online at www.oswegocounty.com/youth/hollis. Fees to attend Camp Hollis are charged on a sliding scale. Information is contained on the camper application. Families experiencing difficulty may contact the Youth Bureau for options beyond the sliding scale. Scholarships may be available from the Friends of Camp Hollis. Anyone wishing to support camper scholarships may send a check, payable to "Friends of Camp Hollis," to Friends of Camp Hollis, P.O. Box 291, Oswego, NY 13126.
Camp Hollis is located at 40 Health Camp Road, off Lakeshore Road in the town of Oswego. The facility is also available April through October for use by families, clubs, school groups and other organizations. Call the youth bureau or visit the web site at www.oswegocounty.com/youth for more information.
