Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) invites job seekers to participate in a new kind of career exploration – virtual reality (VR)!

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, applicants can experience a variety of different careers using VR headsets. The event takes place at the OCWNY Career Center, 200 N. Second St., Fulton.

“We’re excited to offer this unique opportunity for job seekers,” said Rachel Pierce, director of Oswego County Workforce Development. “This event allows people to explore multiple career fields and virtually perform tasks associated with those fields to find out what jobs they would be most interested in. These realistic simulations recreate the sights and sounds of the job site, providing a truly immersive and interactive experience in different work environments.”

Attendees can also learn about free employment and training services offered by OCWNY to help job seekers enhance their career options and workforce skills. These services include resume assistance, online learning and funding options for training.

To sign up for the VR career exploration experience, call OCWNY at 315-591-9000 and reserve a time slot. Space is limited, and those interested must sign up by Friday, March 13.
