Indivisible Oswego County will hold its 2026 No Kings Rally on Saturday, March 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the Bridge Street Bridge in Oswego.
The event is part of a nationwide day of action highlighting concerns about efforts of Donald Trump to destroy democratic institutions, ignore the rule of law, and concentrate political power in the hands of a single leader.
The No Kings rallies began several years ago as a grassroots response to rising public anxiety over threats to constitutional checks and balances. Since then, coordinated events across the country have helped elevate public awareness, strengthen local civic networks, and encourage sustained participation in democratic processes. Organizers note that the rallies have become an important reminder that safeguarding democratic norms requires visible, collective engagement from ordinary citizens.
“Each year, communities across the country come together to affirm that no individual, regardless of office, stands above the Constitution,” organizers said. “Public participation is essential to demonstrating that Americans remain committed to accountable government and the rule of law.”
Participants are asked to register in advance so national organizers can track attendance and measure civic engagement across states. Registration is available at: https://mobilize.us/s/nqtNv5
The event is free, peaceful, and open to all members of the public who support the principle that democratic institutions must remain strong, independent, and protected.
