Write a commentThe month of May at Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., in Oswego, brings flowers in the form of a "Grow With Us" packet of seeds for your actual garden and some creative seeds for you to grow artistically.
Michele Southgate will offer two watercolor classes for beginners and experienced painters alike. The classes will be from 2-5 p.m., Monday, May 6, and from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, May 23. All materials are provided.
Cindy Schmidt, creator of the Cranky Cat Collection, will offer a Hand-Painted Silk Scarf class from 9-11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 4. Make your own brightly colored creation using dyes that are painted onto a plain white silk scarf. All materials are provided.
Kathy Fenlon, a fabric artist, will offer a class in making an e-reader cover for your Nook, Kindle or iPad from 5-8 p.m., Monday, May 20. Bring three fat quarters or 1/4 yard each of three different but coordinating fabrics, thread and 1/2 yard of 3/4" elastic. Sewing machines are available for those who do not have one.
