Take the best local talent, the best local cuisine, cocktail hour, photo ops, contests and giveaways, and a classic A.R. Gurney play and you've got a delicious dinner theatre experience!

Having just finished a run on Broadway, this simple, honest piece of work makes it's Port City debut on February 7th at The American Foundry. Other dates include February 8th at La Parrilla Grill and Wine Bar and February 10th at Bistro 197.

Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner met when they were seven years old and their correspondence started a short time later. For the next fifty years, through personal triumphs and despair, through war and marriages and children and careers, they poured out the secrets of their hearts to each other. They defied a fate that schemed to keep them apart, and lived – through letters – for the one most meaningful thing, their undying love for each other.

Bringing this poignant play to life are local favorites Banna Rubinow and Mark Cole.
You may have enjoyed Cole locally in his reprise of the role of Detective LeFleur in "Firesign" with the Oswego Players or his most recent performance work on "Lizzie Borden Took an Axe" (Andrew Borden) with the Covey Theatre Company at the New York International Fringe Theatre Festival and in Syracuse at the Barnes-Hiscock Mansion. Recently retired, Mark taught and directed in the SUNY Oswego Theatre Department for 35 years. He is a graduate of New York University's School of the Arts.

Rubinow, no stranger to the community or the stage, was last seen in "The Dining Room" (also by Buffalo-born Gurney) last February. She majored in theater at the Interlochen Arts Academy and Brandeis University, and has an Off-Off-Broadway credit on her resumé. These days Banna exercises her theater muscles by throwing her heart and soul into Story Time at the river's end bookstore (Tuesdays at 10:30)

Seasoned director Bobby Fontana happily directs "Love Letters" after a sold out dinner theatre experience last February when he directed "The Dining Room" also by Gurney.

Tickets can be purchased at all of the restaurants, at river's end bookstore, and at I Heart Oswego. Want to see the show without dinner? The American Foundry has that option. Check out the website for all things Theatre Du Jour and complete information about the shows! www.dujourcny.com
