Meet Theatre Du Jour Director, Local Celebrity Sherri Lynn Metz

Theatre Du Jour’s director Sherri Metz is bringing Bingo - The Winning Musical to Central New York this August, when it opens on Thursday, August 20th at The Eis House in Mexico!

The first time Sherri Metz was in a play was in highschool in 1976. She was fatally bitten by the theatre bug and has been on stage every year of her life since then.

Metz spent 10 years doing musicals with the Red Creek Community Players and has been with the Oswego Players for 24 years. She has recently taken a bigger interest in the director's chair and looks forward to the opportunity to direct for Theatre Du Jour.

She spends her time off stage working at Oswego Heritage Federal Credit Union as a Branch assistant, and at the First United Methodist church of Oswego as Choir Director/organist. When she’s not working, Metz enjoys reading, playing cards, yoga, walking, biking, cooking and playing Scrabble with her husband, Nelson.

Metz has a beautiful daughter, Erin, who lives with her husband, Dan in Lake Placid. Piper, Sherri and Nelson’s lovely cat, lives with them on E. Mohawk St. in Oswego.
