Displaying seven paintings at the Oswego Public Library from now until September, Michael Lynne shares his work and eye for beauty in overlooked places with the Oswego community.
Lynne attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) earning a BFA with a major in illustration. After a three-year stint in advertising, he returned to RIT to complete a master of science in teaching degree. What followed was a 35 year career in three different districts teaching art. His last position was at Oswego High School.
Since retirement, he has been working on his art work and entering national and international juried art shows with some success. The seven works exhibited at the Oswego library show some of the pathways he has been exploring. His newest work strives for a looser technique and a thicker application of paint. Each piece in this show has a little write-up to explain the work.
These paintings are not for sale, but Michael has work for sale at Arts in the Heart Gallery in Fulton.
