Faye Beckwith (l) and Noelle Salmonson (r) of Dance 4 Fitness Studio in Hannibal fine tune their Zumba moves in preparation for Oswego County Opportunities’ (OCO) Cancer Services “Walk the Bottom Line” event.

The event will be held June 3 from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Bullhead Point in Fulton and the event is free for all ages. With a focus on promoting colon cancer awareness “Walk the Bottom Line” is a family event filled with activities throughout the afternoon such as free Zumba and Yoga demonstrations. “Walk the Bottom Line” begins with a 1.7 mile walk along the Lake Neatahwanta Nature Trail at 12:45 p.m.

Representatives from a number of local health related agencies and programs including; Oswego Health, Oswego County Health Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension, OCO's Navigator Program with information on health insurance, OCO’s Reproductive Health, Cancer Services, and IMPACT Program will be there to discuss the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the programs and services they offer. In addition, those in attendance can learn more about the range of free cancer screenings available through the OCO Cancer Services Program. Eligible community members may also schedule appointments for free clinical breast exams, mammograms, pap/pelvic exams and discuss their eligibility for colon cancer screenings.

For more information and to register to attend contact Carolyn Handville or Christina Wallace at 315-592-0830 or visit www.ocoorg/health-services/cancer-services.org.
